What To Expect

Choosing a healthcare professional is an important decision. There is never a charge to sit down with Dr. Claggett to make sure our office is the best fit for your needs. We want you to ask questions, see our office, and learn more about the specific chiropractic care provided here. Our goal for your first visit is to ensure you are a good candidate for our specialized care to help you move forward on your wellness journey. We will go over a brief history and do a review of your health and then we will move forward and determine what exams are necessary.

We will do a focused exam and assessment to determine your unique and specific misalignment and resulting nerve interference. We will then acquire detailed images (x-rays) of your spine (unless contraindicated). The doctor will then analyze your x-rays to identify the best method for correction. On your next visit he will explain these findings and present you with his recommendations. You should plan for your Day 1 appointment to be completed in one hour.

We want you to be informed so you can see how your body will heal and recover through proper alignment and nerve function. Since each individual has a unique history and spinal misalignment, an individualized follow-up plan of care will be discussed to help you achieve your desired results and whole body health.

Now that we have identified the most precise way to correct your misalignment and restore function to your nervous system, you will receive your first upper cervical adjustment. This specific technique is gentle, precise, and very effective. To help your body acclimate to the correction, we encourage you to stay in the office and sit down, close your eyes, and rest for about 10 minutes. By restoring function to your nervous system, your body is now able to begin healing. Your Day 2 appointment will take about 30 minutes, including the specific adjustment and resting time afterward. We will continue to closely monitor your progress with re-examinations and x-rays based on your needs.

For your next visits, we expect you will be more familiar with how things are going to go. The adjustment and resting period should only take about 15 minutes. As an added bonus, we don't require you to make firm appointment times. You can walk right in and be seen! This makes visits easier for you and gives you more control over your care!
